When we implemented IPW, we had a vast amount of documentation — but we used the fresh start to strip everything down and rewrite it from scratch.
Solution
Today, the system covers everything from goods receipt, production instructions, certificates of conformity, goods dispatch, non-conformities and audits, logbooks and cleaning logs, observations, quarantine, issued equipment for employees — everything.
We have also implemented an SOP template that standardizes and ensures consistency in our instructions. We chose to expand the SOP with video. We have frequent machine changeovers, and with video you can show exactly where to press and adjust here and there.
Right now, we have launched Read & Understood acknowledgment. It couldn’t be simpler.
Result
It is incredibly rewarding to have close dialogue with IPW. Anita calls me IPW’s most creative customer — I probably have around 100 improvement suggestions in support.
