Development
Originally, we were looking for a system tailored specifically for document management, such as work instructions and checklist handling in our production — and nothing more.
To ensure that employees quickly adopted IPW, they were given significant influence over adjustments, and we deliberately started in a department where we expected employees to be critical. They got the initiative moving and became strong ambassadors.
We use the system differently than most others: Over time, we have tested specialized IT tools, but we realized that they became expensive — both in licenses, testing, and training. Other IT tools are often rigid in terms of what we can modify ourselves.
So we looked at IPW: Okay, the system wasn’t designed for this specific task — but can we make it work? When we add another component to IPW, none of our employees need training.
Later, we also began using IPW in administration. Today, all employees are involved in one way or another in the system — and that has happened because we can use IPW for so many things.
Result
We have now worked with the system for more than 10 years, and new developments continue to emerge. When someone has an idea, we can build almost everything ourselves. We only need assistance for very specific customizations or to connect elements across the system.
