Challenge
We needed to formalize some of the work instructions used in production and implement a system to manage them, so we could communicate work descriptions clearly out in production.
Solution
First, we established a small group consisting of someone from the laboratory, someone from marketing, and myself from IT.
We held an in-depth clarification meeting with IPW, visited other companies to see how they work, and chose the system because we could use it for intranet, work instructions, and quality management.
The package included an introductory program, and for us it was great to visit IPW’s offices and work in a completely different setting. They offer good advice on how to prepare for system implementation, and the collaboration has been excellent.
Result
We quickly realized that we could use IPW for intranet, work instructions, and quality management.
For new employees, work procedures are now readily available so they can see exactly how tasks should be performed.
Alfix is also certified under the UN Sustainable Development Goals by Bureau Veritas and works extensively with responsible transition. IPW now serves as the platform for internal communication about the SDGs and related initiatives. For example, we have an idea bank where everyone can submit ideas, which are then shared with the relevant department managers.
We see this as the beginning of a development journey.
